Perhaps would-be top spinners might come here and wonder if there has been a mass extinction? OK, "mass" might be a little bit of an exageration, but still.
All of our old posts will be like fossils of a spinning creatures gone by. Ironically, it feels like tops might have been on the brink of revival, but I guess that's how it goes--one minute you think you've got the gumption to hang on a little longer, make it through the doldrums, then poof, you're a relic of a dead civilization; artifacts of wound-down life forms and their bizarre spinning culture: faded, faded away.
Perhaps this will become the anti-top spinning board? Maybe new inhabitants will come here and make this palce their own. A place for some lyfestyle abhorent of tops--of all gyroscopic stability even. A place of vibe, wobble and crash.
Or maybe tops evolve? Maybe they sprout propellers or cleated tips? Maybe they become something altogether unrecognizable to top spinners? Perhaps rather than petrolium, wood or aluminium, post apocolyptic tops might be hewn of silicon? I don't know, but I suspect no good niche remains unfilled. Who will these new inhabitants be? What might their tops look like? Will they be like us? Would we want them to be? Could they perhaps, vested with our well wishes and sage inscriptions, do what we could not; bring tops--in whatever form they take--into a new age of prosperity and popularity. I hope so, that would be swell.
