Winding a Top

1. Right hand holds the string an inch or two above the knotted end. Place the knot against the side of the top and hold it in place with the left thumb. 2. The right hand circles the string counter-clockwise around the crown of the top and pulls down so that it just crosses above the knotted end. |

4. Wind the string tightly away from you.

5. Continue winding. 6. Slip the button end between any two fingers. |

|
7. Continue winding to take up string slack. 8. Hold for a spinner or boomerang throw. |
|

8. Hold for a trapeze throw. |
